* Distribute a Bingo card to each student.

  • Photocopy additional cards if needed.

* Provide bottle caps or other markers to use as game pieces.

* Place the stack of calling cards face down on the table.

* Draw the first card from the pile and show it to the players.

  • If the item is found on the game card, a marker is placed on the matching square to cover the item.

* As each card is displayed from the stack of calling cards, kids place a marker on the matching square on their game cards.

* When someone fills a line with markers, they call out Bingo!

  • You can alter the flow of the game, and the end of the game, according to the age and skill levels of the students. For example, continue displaying calling cards until all participants have filled in a line.

How to explore the preschool classroom

Help students learn more about their classroom environment with your game of Bingo. Talk about the items on the cards before and during the playtime.

  • What season do the items portray?

  • Are there any items on your card that you don’t see in your classroom?

  • Do you have any of these items at home as well as at school?
